In February this year, producer prices in French industry dropped by 0.7 percent month on month and rose by 13.0 percent year on year, according to the statistics released by France’s National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Producer prices for manufactured products in France decreased by 0.4 percent in February compared to January and were up by 10.4 percent year on year.
In the given month, prices for exported manufactured products moved down by 0.2 percent and prices of exported transport equipment rose by 0.3 percent, both month on month. On year-on-year basis, in February prices of exported manufactured products grew by 7.5 percent, while prices of exported transport equipment saw a 6.3 percent increase.
Meanwhile, import prices for manufactured products in France in February fell by 0.7 percent compared to January and increased by 4.7 percent compared to the same month of 2022.
