Peruvian iron ore production increases in July

Peruvian iron ore output in July rose 22.2 percent, year-on-year, according to the nation’s ministry of mines and energy, Minem. Local iron ore output in July was 840,537 mt, up from 687,600 mt in July 2018.

As for the accumulated period of January to July this year, Peruvian iron ore output was 5.30 million mt, 7.2 percent down, year-on-year.

Shougang Hierro Peru is the nation’s key iron ore producer, and accounts for most of the commodity’s output.
