Peruvian iron ore production declines in September

Peruvian iron ore output in September declined 16.9 percent, year-on-year, 754,671 mt, according to the nation’s ministry of mines and energy, Minem.

Peruvian iron ore production in the accumulated period from January to September 2019 was 7.60 million mt.

Minem said the 7.60 million mt iron ore output figure for the nine-month period represents an 8.58 percent year-on-year decline.

Shougang Hierro Peru is the nation’s key iron ore producer, accounting for most of the commodity’s production.
