Peruvian iron ore export prices in October rose 53.3 percent, year-on-year, to 59.8/mt FOB, according to local central bank, Banco Central de Reserva del Perú (BCRP).
Despite the year-on-year export price increase, BCRP said local iron ore export prices in October fell from $62.9/mt FOB in September this year.
Government data indicated Peruvian iron ore export volumes in October reached 1.4 million mt, up from 900,000 mt in October 2018, and slightly up from 1.2 million mt in September this year.
