Peruvian iron ore export prices stable in September

Peruvian iron ore export prices remained stable in September, with a slight increase of 0.62 percent from August, according to information released by the country’s central bank, BCRP.
 
According to government data, Peruvian iron ore export prices in September remained at $32/mt, a similar level seen in August when export prices were $31.8/mt.
 
Peruvian iron ore export prices in September this year declined 17.3 percent in the year-on-year analysis.
 
Since June this year, the country’s iron ore export prices seem to be recovering, from $22.7/mt in June, $26.7/mt in July and $31.8/mt in August.
 
Peruvian iron ore export volumes in September fell to 500,000 mt, from 900,000 mt in August.
