Peruvian iron ore export prices in August rose 41.2 percent, year-on-year, to $44.9/mt, according to the country’s central bank, BCRP.
According to government data, Peruvian iron ore export prices in August reached the second highest level so far in 2017, just behind January’s figures, when the commodity was being exported at $48.1/mt.
According to BCRP, Peruvian iron ore export prices in August improved 15.1 percent, month-on-month, and represent the third consecutive month-on-month growth since June.
Iron ore export volumes in August totaled 900,000 mt, relatively stable compared to July this year and August 2016.
