Peruvian iron ore export prices increase in March

Peruvian iron ore export prices in March increased 52.6 percent, year-on-year, to FOB $48.7/mt, according to data released by the local central bank, BCRP.

BCRP said local iron ore export prices dropped 4.3 percent, month-on-month, from FOB $50.9/mt.

According to government data, Peruvian iron ore export volumes in March reached 1.4 million mt, slightly down from 1.6 million mt in March 2018, but up from 1.2 million mt in February 2019.
