Peruvian iron ore export prices increase in December

Peruvian iron ore export prices in December rose 58.7 percent, year-on-year, according to local central bank, BCRP. Peruvian iron ore export prices in December reached $54.7/mt FOB, up from $34.5/mt FOB in December 2018. On a monthly analysis, iron ore export prices remained relatively stable from $54.9/mt FOB in November.

BCRP said Peruvian iron ore export volumes in December totaled 1.8 million mt, slightly up from 1.6 million mt in December 2018, and from 1.6 million mt also in November.
