Peruvian iron ore export prices drop in September

Peruvian iron ore export prices in September dropped 16 percent, year-on-year, to $29.4/mt FOB, according to the nation’s central bank (BCRP). On a month-on-month analysis, prices declined from $32.1/mt FOB in August.

Peruvian iron ore export volumes in September reached 1.4 million mt, up from 1.2 million mt in September 2017. Peruvian iron ore export volumes in September also grew from 900,000 mt in August this year.
