Peruvian iron ore export prices drop in November

Peruvian iron ore export prices in November 2018 reached $28/mt FOB, the second lowest rate thus far that year, according to the local central bank, BCRP.

Peruvian iron ore export prices in November 2018 declined 12.5 percent, year-on-year, from $32/mt FOB in November 2017. It was also 28.2 percent down, month-on-month, from $39/mt FOB in October 2018.

The local central bank said Peruvian iron ore export volume in November 2018 was 1.1 million mt, down from 1.5 million mt in November 2017, but up from 900,000 mt in October 2018.
