Peruvian iron ore export prices decline in September

Peruvian iron ore export prices in September declined to $40.4/mt from $44.9/mt in August, according to the country’s central bank, BCRP.

Despite the month-on-month decline, government data indicated Peruvian iron ore export prices rose 7.7 percent in September, year-on-year, from $37.5/mt in the same month of 2016.

Peruvian iron ore export volumes in September totaled 900,000 mt, up from 800,000 mt in August and 400,000 mt in September 2016.
