Odisha Mining Corporation see 17% rise in iron ore output in FY 2022-23

Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), the mining arm of the government of Odisha state in India, achieved iron ore production of 29.7 million mt in the fiscal year 2022-23, up 17 percent year on year, a company statement said on Monday, April 10.

Total sales of iron ore by OMC in the fiscal year 2022-23 were reported at 28.6 million mt, up 3.3 percent, the company statement said. 

The state mining company also achieved 1.08 million mt of chrome ore production and 3.61 million mt of bauxite production and its total mineral production during the year was 33.76 million mt, a growth of 14.9 percent year on year, the company said.
