Northwest Pipe announces $22 million order for pipes

The Northwest Pipe Company has declared that it is to supply $22 million of large diameter steel pipe for the Rio Colorado project in Baja California, Mexico. The Portland, Oregon-based welded pipe manufacturer will supply approximately 27 miles of 54 and 60-inch diameter pipe to the Mexican corporation, Administradora de Obras Y Concesiones, to be delivered during the first three quarters of 2007. The pipe will be manufactured primarily at Northwest Pipe's plant at Adelanto, California, while certain components will be manufactured at their Monterrey, Mexico facility. Northwest Pipe says that this order represents a milestone in its business relations with the growing Mexican market.
