NMDC’s iron ore output up 3.8 percent in April-November

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in the first eight months of the financial year 2017-18 (started April 1) it produced 20.86 million mt of iron ore, registering an increase of 3.8 percent year on year. The company's iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 22.41 million mt, falling by 0.8 percent year on year.

During the first eight months, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 7.86 million mt, up 2.3 percent, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines increased by 4.7 percent to 13.00 million mt, both year on year.
