NMDC’s iron ore output reaches 24.23 million mt in April-December

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in the first nine months of the financial year 2017-18 (started April 1) it produced 24.23 million mt of iron ore, while its iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 25.64 million mt.

During the first nine months, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 9.07 million mt and the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines totaled 15.16 million mt, with iron ore sales of the Karnataka and Chhattisgarh mines totaling 9.62 million mt and 16.02 million mt respectively.
