New steel mill to be constructed in West Kazakhstan Province

Kazakhstan-based steel producer KazArmaProm plans in late 2010-early 2011 to start the construction of a new 4,000 mt capacity steel mill in West Kazakhstan Province, which will produce alloy steel for the oil and gas sector, Interfax-Ukraine news agency has reported.

Accordingly, the construction of the new mill will require investments of Tenge 1.6 billion (about $10.9 million) and is planned to be completed within a year and a half.
