The Peruvian steel producer Aceros Arequipa posted a net profit of PEN 69 million (USD 19.5 million) for Q2 2025, 38 percent more than in Q2 2024.
Net sales increased by 9.1 percent to PEN 1.128 billion, the gross profit was stable at PEN 167 million, and the EBITDA increased by 3 percent to PEN 95 million.
According to the company, the higher net profit reflects improved results at subsidiaries, a positive impact of exchange rate variations and reduced financial expenses.
Arequipa has an annual production capacity of 1.2 million mt per year, in a wide array of long products, including wire rod, rebar, and beams.
