China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 16-22) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.6 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, common steel sheet, rebar and common steel round bar in China respectively increased by 1.0 percent, 0.9 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.7 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 2.3 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 3.2 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.6 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal, anthracite coal and thermal coal declined by 0.7 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, all week on week.
