China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (February 26-March 4) the overall average finished steel price in China rose by 1.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod and welded steel pipe in China respectively increased by 1.5 percent, 1.3 percent and 1.2 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.2 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal declined by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, while the price of coking coal increased by 0.4 percent, all week on week.
