China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 23-29) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.7 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, common medium steel plate, and common steel round bar in China respectively increased by 1.0 percent, 1.0 percent, 0.9 percent and 0.8 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 1.0 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 1.6 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal edged up by 0.5 percent, while the prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal declined by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, all week on week.
