China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (May 7-13) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod, hot rolled steel strip and common steel round bar in China respectively decreased by 0.6 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and coking coal edged up by 0.7 percent and 0.4 percent, while the price of thermal coal remained stable, respectively, all week on week.
