China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (August 13-19) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 1.0 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, steel channel and steel round bar in China respectively increased by 1.3 percent, 1.3 percent, 1.0 percent and 1.0 percent week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained unchanged week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal moved down by 0.3 percent, while thermal coal and anthracite coal prices remained stable, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 2.6 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) decreased by 3.9 percent compared to the previous week.
