On December 9, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (December 1-7) the overall average finished steel price in China declined by 0.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, common round bar and rebar declined by 0.7 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.5 percent week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) rose by 3.3 percent week on week.
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of thermal coal and coking coal increased by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent respectively, while anthracite coal prices remained unchanged, all week on week.
