MMZ sees 41 percent growth in crude steel output in July over June

In July this year, Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, produced 60,441 mt of crude steel, up 41 percent, and 51,949 mt of rolled products, increasing by 26.2 percent, including 20,968 mt of reinforcing bars, up 1.23 percent, and 30,981 mt of wire rod, rising by 51.4 percent, all month on month. Shipments in July totaled 43,208 mt of rolled steel products.
 
MMZ expects to produce 50,000 mt of crude steel and 50,000 mt of rolled steel products in August this year, to be consumed in the EU and Moldova.
