Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, said this week it will set a new Canacero tube regulation in 60 days.

SE said the NMX-B-516-CANACERO-2017 regulation sets the requisites for manufacturing seamless and welded steel tubes grades NEP 1 and NEP 2 for pipeline transportation systems in the oil, gas and fluids industries.

SE said the regulation is not applicable for iron tubes.

SE said the NMX-B-516-CANACERO-2017 regulation is a modification of the ISO 3183:2012 petroleum and natural gas industries norm, also known as steel pipe for pipeline transportation systems norm.
