Mexico imposed a definitive antidumping duty of 33.98 percent on imports of steel plate sheet from China for causing "threat of injury" to domestic producers, the Ministry of Economy announced Tuesday.

A resolution published in the Official Journal said that the Ministry decided to set the final countervailing duty, which comes into effect on Wednesday after an investigation requested by the Mexican steelmaker Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA).
