Mexican car output, domestic sales increase in November

Both Mexican car production and domestic sales increased year-on-year in November, rising 7.4 percent to 318,149 units and 22.5 percent to 154,616 units, respectively, according to a report from the country’s automotive industry association, AMIA.
 
In the cumulative period of January to November auto production increased 1.5 percent year-on-year to 3.2 million units, while domestic sales increased 18.5 percent year-on-year to 1.4 million units.
 
Mexican exports of autos in November also improved, increasing 9.6 percent year-on-year to 245,330 units, but remained stable with a slight decline of 0.02 percent in the January-November period, reaching 2.5 million units.
