Toronto-based Largo Resources said vanadium production at its Brazilian Maracás mine in Q1 this year rose 20 percent, year-on-year, and 2 percent, quarter-on-quarter, to 2,515 mt.

The company said it has also achieved a record production a single month, reaching 926 mt of vanadium produced in June 2019.

Largo Resources said it plans to install a ball mill at its Brazilian mine in August this year to finish commissioning the Maracás mine for phase three of its ongoing vanadium expansion project. The company plans to increase vanadium production from 800 mt per month currently to 1,000 mt per month by Q4 2019.
