Kobe Steel to build spring steel plant in China

Japanese steelmaker Kobe Steel has carried out groundbreaking for a new subsidiary called Kobe Xinque Spring Steel Co. (Kobe Xinque) in Nanhai National Ecological Industrial Demonstration Zone in the city of Foshan in China's Guangdong Province, according to local news agency Foshan Daily.

Kobe Xinque will produce spring steel for application in automobile production. The annual output capacity of the company will reach 12,000 mt. The main construction work will be completed in October this year, with commissioning scheduled for January next year.
