JSW Steel’s crude steel output rises in Q1 FY 2014-15

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 3.1 million mt of crude steel in the first quarter ended June 30 of the financial year 2014-15, registering a growth of eight percent compared to the same quarter of the previous financial year.
 
According to the company's statement, in the first quarter JSW Steel produced 2.43 million mt of flat rolled products, up nine percent, while its long rolled product output amounted to 520,000 mt, increasing by 16 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of the financial year 2013-14.
