JSW Steel sees higher crude steel output in April-September

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 3.3 million mt of crude steel in the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2014-15, registering a growth of 11 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
 
According to the company's statement, in the second quarter JSW Steel produced 2.61 million mt of flat rolled products, up six percent, while its long rolled product output amounted to 560,000 mt, increasing by 21 percent, both compared to the second quarter of the financial year 2013-14.
 
During the first half (April-September) of the current financial year, JSW Steel's crude steel production increased by 10 percent year on year to 6.4 million mt.
