ITC determines WR imports injure US industry
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) made final determinations on imports of carbon and certain alloy steel
wire rod from
Brazil,
Canada,
Germany,
Indonesia,
Mexico,
Moldova, Trinidad&Tobago and
Ukraine. The findings of ITC reveal that the US industry is materially injured by the imports of the aforesaid products from these countries except for
Germany, imports from where ITC found were negligible.
It was previously determined by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) that these products from
Brazil,
Canada,
Indonesia,
Mexico,
Moldova, Trinidad&Tobago and
Ukraine were sold in the US at less than fair value and those from
Brazil and
Canada were also subsidized.
In consequence of ITC determinations, DOC will issue countervailing duty orders for
Brazil and
Canada and anti-dumping duty orders for
Brazil,
Canada,
Indonesia,
Mexico,
Moldova, Trinidan&Tobago and
Ukraine.
The investigation for
Germany will be dropped.
