Italy’s Tenova to supply ladle furnace for ArcelorMittal

Italian engineering group Tenova has announced that it has signed a contract with Luxembourg-based global steel producer ArcelorMittal for the turnkey supply of a 300 mt ladle furnace that will operate in an integrated cycle at the ArcelorMittal plant located at Ghent, Belgium, which is specizlized in the production of high quality steel for the automotive sector.

The ladle furnace will be operative in December 2013.

Tenova stated that it in 2006 it had supplied a 320 mt twin-ladle furnace to Arcelor Mittal Poland for its plant located at Dabrowa Gornicza.
