Italy's crude steel output up slightly in November

In November this year, Italian crude steel output increased by 0.4 percent year on year to 1.859 million metric tons, according to the figures released by the Italian steel producers association Federacciai. This is only the second year-on-year increase recorded in 2015, after the increase recorded in August (+1.9 percent).
 
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of the year Italian crude steel output amounted to 20.51 million mt, down 7.8 percent year on year. The total crude steel output in 2014 was 23.715 mt, a figure which is very unlikely to be surpassed by the end of the current year.
 
Italian crude steel output in November of the current year was also lower compared to the crude steel outputs of 2.568 million mt in November 2011, 2.248 million mt in November 2012, and 2.157 million mt in November 2013.
