Italy’s crude steel output up 11.8 percent in January-November

According to the figures released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in November this year Italian crude steel output rose by 12.2 percent year on year and decreased by 5.18 percent month on month, totaling 2.566 million metric tons. Meanwhile, Italian crude steel output in the first 11 months of the current year rose by 11.8 percent year on year to 26.67 million metric tons.
 
Federacciai also released Italy's long and flat steel output data for October this year. Accordingly, in October Italy's long steel output was up 7.95 percent year on year and rose by 7.95 percent month on month, totaling 1.262 million metric tons. On the other hand, in the same month Italian flat steel output reached 1.409 million metric tons, increasing by 27.05 percent year on year and by 5.38 percent month on month.

In the first 10 months of 2011, long steel production in Italy reached 11.007 million mt, up 8.11 percent, while flat steel production climbed up by 20.16 percent to 12.363 million mt, both year on year.
