Italy's crude steel output up 10.2 percent in January-February

In February this year, Italian crude steel output increased by 3.6 percent year on year to 2.198 million metric tons, while in the first two months of the year the output figure amounted to 4.273 million mt, up 10.2 percent year on year, according to the figures released by Italian steel producers association Federacciai.

The output in February of the current year was slightly higher compared to the crude steel output of 2.190 million mt recorded in the same month of 2010, while it was lower compared to 2.316 million mt in February 2011 and 2.499 million mt in February 2012.
