Italy's crude steel output down 8.5 percent in April

In April this year, Italian crude steel output decreased by 8.5 percent year on year to 1.855 million metric tons, while in the first four months of the year the output figure amounted to 7.823 million mt, down 9.6 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the Italian steel producers association Federacciai.
 
Italian crude steel output in April of the current year was also lower compared to the crude steel outputs of 2.489 million mt in April 2011, 2.392 million mt in April 2012 and 2.115 million mt in April 2013.
