Italian crude steel output increases by 3.2 percent in January-July

In July this year, Italian producers' crude steel output increased by 0.7 percent year on year to 2.155 million metric tons, as announced by the Italian steel association Federacciai.

July's output volume is also higher compared to the 2.085 million mt recorded in July 2016, the 1.931 million mt recorded in July 2015, the 2.094 million mt registered in July 2014 and the 2.115 million mt produced in the same month of 2013.

In the January-July period this year, Italian crude steel output amounted to 14.970 million mt, up 3.2 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the first half of the current year Italy's long steel output amounted to 6.539 million metric tons, increasing by 6.2 percent year on year. In the same period, Italian flat steel output totaled 5.777 million metric tons, rising by one percent year on year.
