Turkish steelmaker Isdemir, part of Oyak Mining and Metallurgy Group, has announced that Isdemir Linde Gas Partnership, established with the German technology company The Linde Group in 2016, has officially commenced operations at its new facility.

The industrial gas production facility was completed in a record period of 12 months with an investment totaling TRY 250 million. Turkey’s most efficient industrial gas facility will supply 1,700 metric tons of oxygen and nitrogen per day. It will increase Isdemir’s oxygen production capacity by 60 percent and nitrogen production capacity by 70 percent, helping Isdemir to add 300,000 mt of steel capacity per year. This additional capacity will contribute TRY 750 million to the company’s revenues.
