Investment in Mexican auto sector to reach $2.4 billion this year

For the remainder of the year, investments in Mexico’s automotive sector are expected to reach US$2.4 billion with the arrival of new European and Asian brands, comprising both automotive parts and final assembly.

Automotive investments have captured US$25 billion during the first three years of Mexico’s current administration.

Without giving details, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, Minister of Economy told media that success in the sector will attract even more investment, especially  in the parts and components industry.
