The Ukrainian pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe Corporation (Interpipe) has announced that in 2008 it invested about $6.3 million in a complex of measures for safer working conditions and employees' health.

Commenting on the investments in question, Interpipe's director for corporate affairs Oleg Kuzmin said: "Interpipe always seeks to create such working conditions that each employee will feel protected and be able to realize his potential. Understanding the threats and risks related with professional activity, the company invests considerable financial and institutional resources in processes aimed at minimizing and removing them.
