INSIG’s finished steel output rises 12 percent in last Iranian year

Iranian steelmaker Iran National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) produced 1,145,000 mt of finished steel products (I-beam, rebar, pipes) in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2010), up 12 percent on the 1,023,000 mt produced in the previous year. In addition, INSIG produced 250,000 mt of billet in the last Iranian year, up about four percent on the year before. 

INSIG, one of the oldest Iranian rolling mills, is based near Ahwaz city close to the Persian Gulf.
