China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has restricted calcium carbide and ferrous alloy production as it seeks to restructure the relevant sectors, with the respective outputs in the region in the current year to be limited to 4.77 million mt and 3.43 million mt, according to the Chinese state-owned Xinhua News Agency.

In the current year, apart from the Ulanqab and Wuhai-Wusitai-Qipanjing areas, in other areas of the region calcium carbide and ferrous alloy enterprises without related deep-processing facilities are to be shut down.
