India’s NMDC achieves 42 percent growth in iron ore output in May

Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited achieved iron ore production of 3.04 million mt in May this year, up 42 percent from the corresponding month of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing made by the company on Wednesday, June 19.

NMDC stated that its total sales of iron ore in May amounted to 3.17 million mt on provisional basis, compared to 2.13 million mt in the corresponding month of last year.
