India’s MOIL Limited hikes prices of all manganese ore grades with immediate effect from April 6, 2026

Indian government-run miner MOIL Limited has hiked prices for all grades of manganese ore with immediate effect, company sources said on Monday, April 6.

The sources said that the size of the increase is the highest seen over the last two years, amid the sharp rise in prices of imported manganese ore over the past month averaging at around 40 percent, following disruptions in global supplies in the wake of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The price of manganese ferro grade ore with Mn content 44 percent and higher has been hiked by 15 percent, while the price of grades with Mn content less than 44 percent has been increased by 17.5 percent.

The prices of silico manganese grade raw (SGMR) with Mn content of 30 percent, Mn content of 25 percent and chemical grades have been increased by 17.5 percent.
