Indian iron ore miner and sponge iron producer Llyods Metal and Energy Limited has reported a net profit of INR 2.69 billion ($32.80 million) for the fourth quarter (January-March) of the fiscal year 2022-23, up 118 percent year on year, according to a regulatory filing of the company on Thursday, April 27.
The company reported a total income of INR 8.95 billion ($110 million) during the quarter, up 160.60 percent year on year, according to the filing.
However, for the full year of 2022-23, the company slipped into a net loss of INR 2.88 billion ($35.18 million), against a net profit of INR 973 million ($11.86) in the previous fiscal year. Nevertheless, it recorded a total income of INR 34.6 billion ($422.76 million) for the fiscal year 2022-23, 79 percent higher than in the previous fiscal year.
