India’s KIOCL Limited seeks offshore supplier for 200,000 mt of iron ore concentrate

India’s state-run iron ore pellet producer KIOCL Limited has floated a tender seeking 200,000 mt of iron ore concentrate from offshore sources for use at its plant in Mangalore in southern India, company sources said on Thursday, November 16.

The last date for submission of bids by mine owners, traders and stockists has been fixed for December 4, and the supplier will need to deliver to Mangalore port.

The online bidding by suppliers will be done on reverse auction basis.

The successful offshore supplier will need to complete delivery of the entire volume within 45 days from the date of issue of the purchase order. The minimum volume of delivery per shipment has been fixed at 50,000 mt.
