India’s JSPL to upgrade its Steckel mill

Wednesday, 22 January 2025 14:14:46 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Indian steel producer Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has decided to upgrade its Steckel mill in Raigarh, India, with the new Exstream II cooling solution from Danieli, according to the Italian plantmaker.

Exstream II is the new-generation cooling system that allows easy and flexible production of a wide range of added-value products, like high-strength steels, and of plates with different mechanical properties, and that lowers operational expenses by reducing the amount of alloy elements in the steelmaking process for final products with improved weldability.

The equipment in question will be manufactured at Danieli’s workshops in India.
