India’s Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has inked a pact with France-headquartered Dassault Systemes, under which the latter will manage end-to-end production and operational functions of stainless steel mills in Jajpur in Odisha state and in Hisar in Harayana, a JSL statement said on Friday, June 16.
“JSL has inked a deal with Dassault Systemes to strengthen its production planning, scheduling and execution processes. Having recently merged and doubled its capacity to 2.9 million mt per year, this will enable JSL to seamlessly manage end-to-end production and operational functions between Hisar and Jajpur,” the company statement said.
“By adopting an integrated and fully automated approach to operations management, JSL intends to achieve sharper resource utilisation, faster capacity balancing, live data synthesis and accurate predictions, while maintaining high-quality standards,” the company said.
“The virtual twin experience of JSL's production systems helps JSL improve operational efficiency and product quality significantly, and facilitates data-driven, fast decisions for the decarbonization of steelmaking,” Corinne Bulota, vice president, infrastructure, energy and materials industry, Dassault Systemes, said.
