India’s GPIL commences production at new pellet plant

India’s Godavari Power and Ispat Limited (GPIL) has commenced production from its new two million mt iron ore pellet production plant at the central state of Chhattisgarh, a company statement said on Wednesday, December 10.

With the commencement of production at the new plant, GPIL’s aggregate annual pellet making capacity stands at 4.7 million mt, up from 2.7 million mt earlier, the company said.
